The Classes program at Rock Paper Scissors Collective is all about skill shares, workshops, crafts and more. We’ve hosted classes that range from “Making Shoes out of Sweatshirts” or “How to Build a Website” to “Girl-Friendly Skateboarding” and “Beginning DJ Class.” We have a space and we’d like you to use it.. So come on in and take a class!

Do you have a talent that you’re friends are always asking you to teach them? Want to share your passion? Great because you’re invited to teach a class! Whether you’re a professor at UC Berkeley or just starting kindergarten, we believe you have something to share. We’re open to all kinds of stuff as you can tell from the list of classes that people teach here.
Here’s the info we need from you help you teach a class at RPS:
1. A title for the class
2. A brief description of what you’ll be teaching.
3. Will the students need bring in their own supplies? Will you bring in
supplies for them and charge a materials fee to reimburse you?
4. Will there be a class fee? Class fees are split 60-40 with RPSC (60%
going to you, of course), or you can choose to donate all of it to RPSC.
5. A short bio about yourself. Please include address and phone number for our records!
6. And most importantly, a time and date! Weekend classes are always the
easiest to coordinate with our volunteers (an RPSC volunteer or member
needs to be present during the class).
Classes must be scheduled a month in advance.

We try to keep our classes low-cost or free, so please consider this in your proposal.
Meetings. Want to help us out but too shy to teach a class? Come to Classes Committee meetings – email takeaclassatrpscollectivedotcom to find out when.
What do we do at these meetings? Well, we make flyers for the classes coming up in the next month and plan for months beyond. We also pass out printed calendars to folks who want to take them around the town.
